Women’s Floorball: Philippines gets first SEA Games win
QUEZON CITY — The Philippines started strong in the 30th Southeast Asian Games on Monday after securing its first victory against Indonesia in the women’s floorball.
Indonesia suffered 1-8 against the home team in their opening match at the University of the Philippines College of Human Kinetics in Quezon City.
With the team’s eight goals, five of them were contributed by 24-year old Jade Rivera.
The Philippines will play against Thailand on Tuesday.
Floorball is a type of floor hockey with five players and a goalkeeper in each team.
