According to officials and local residents, it was 14C in the highlands.
The thick fog that enveloped Chai Nat in the morning resulted in poor visibility. Motorists had to drive with their fog lights on.
Residents are advised to prepare themselves for further temperature drops by about 2C to 4C this week, said Pramote On-nom, Chai Nat Meteorological Office Director.
