Wild elephant breaks into house in Hua Hin
Photos of a wild elephant bulldozing his way into a house in Hua Hin district of Prachuap Khiri Khan went viral on social media.
Facebook user Rachadawan Phungraopporn posted photos as well as a video clip of the elephant on social media on Sunday. She said the elephant used to come to her house in Hua Hin every day for food.
Meanwhile, the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, and other local government agencies are holding discussions on compensating the house owner for the damage the wild elephant made.
“Initially, government agencies will repair the victim’s house as soon as possible,” the department said, as reported by The Nation
The department added that officials have created awareness on ways to prevent dangers to villagers from elephants in the area, the report added.
