Bangkok, Thailand – A well-dressed man at a coffee shop was caught on video stealing a laptop from someone else’s bag. The victim is asking netizens to continue sharing the video, which already reaped over half a million views in two days.
Rattaya Rattanaphunnorong posted on Facebook the video in which her laptop was stolen at Pacamara coffee shop near Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Medicine.
“A life lesson! Watch this video and please be careful. You cannot judge people by their appearance. He was well-dressed but stole other people’s stuff,” she captioned.
According to the victim, the incident took place on Tuesday while she was studying with her friends. She left at about 3pm for 30 minutes, leaving her laptop on the chair at the coffee shop.
The video shows a nicely dressed man with glasses looking around before he slowly slid his hand in the bag next to him. When he was sure no one was looking, he immediately grabbed hold of the laptop, placed it in his bag, and quickly left.
Rattaya updated her post on Facebook with a video taken two years ago saying that it might not be the first time the man did such a thing. The video shows a man wearing glasses stealing a Macbook Air at a Starbucks at Esplanade. She suspected them to be the same man, Coconuts Bangkok reported.
The victim is seeking help from netizens to submit more information about the man.
