Tourist police target schools, arrest 80 foreigners
Authorities have arrested a total of 80 foreigners working in schools in the latest X-Ray Outlaw Foreigner crackdown led by deputy police chief Pol Maj-General Surachet Hakpal.
The sixth X-Ray Outlaw Foreigner operation conducted by tourist police in 127 spots around the country from Thursday until the early hours of Friday, which includes 13 international schools, 17 language schools and 61 normal schools, resulted to the arrest of 80 foreigners, Surcahet announced in a press conference at the Grace Hotel on Soi Sukhumvit 23 at 2:30 am.

Five Indians, four Cambodians, two North Koreans, two Americans, two Britons, one Turk, one Kyrgyzstani and one Laotian were arrested for overstaying their visa, Surachet said.
Others who were charged with illegal entry into Thailand according to Surachet were 33 Burmese, 5 Laotians, 5 Cambodias, 4 Indians, 4 North Koreans, 2 Vietnamese, and 1 American.
Meanwhile, 4 Vietnamese, 2 Burmese, 1 Indian, and one Briton were arrested on other criminal charges.
