Tourism Authority of Thailand’s New Year countdown parties still on
Despite fears brought by the highly contagious Omicron variant, Tourism and Sports Minister Phiphat Ratchakitprakan said on Tuesday that the Tourism Authority of Thailand will go with the plan of holding countdown events in five provinces.
The provinces of Phuket, Chiang Mai, Ayutthaya, Nakhon Ratchasima, and Rayong will hold the “Amazing Thailand Countdown 2022 – Amazing New Chapters” from December 27 to 31.
It is expected that the event will be a spectacle of lights, cultural performances, music, as well as community products and local food.
