Thailand to officially enter cold season on Thursday
Thailand according to the Meteorological Department, will officially enter the cold season on October 17th, Thursday.
According to the department as reported by Thai PBS World, average temperatures in northern Thailand will steadily drop to cold season levels — adding that the wind blowing across Thailand at altitudes of between 100 and 500 metres have swung round to the southwest.
“Higher altitude winds, above 5,000 metres, have turned to the west as northern parts of the country experienced less rain. Meanwhile, rainfall in southern Thailand will intensify”, the report added.
Last week, the department announced that the coldest weather will come from late December until mid-January brought by more intense cold fronts from China.
