Winter is here: Thailand to officially enter cold season starting on Saturday
Thailand is officially entering its cold season on Saturday.

According to Thailand Meteorological Department on Wednesday, cold season will officially start on Saturday, which will continue towards the middle of February. Sharp drops in temperatures will be experienced in the second half of December and will remain cool until the end of January.
However, the southern part will still be pounded by rain at least until Friday and will subside in most parts of Thailand in the weekend, the weather agency announced.
The provinces of Ranong, Phangnga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun are also warned of heavy rain and possible flash floods according to weather forecaster Praporn Wongsaming.
