Thailand has six more novel Coronavirus cases, bringing the total number from 19 to 25
BANGKOK — In a press conference on Tuesday, health officials announced six new confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in Thailand.
Director-general of the Disease Control Department, Dr Suwannachai Wattanayingcharoenchai, stated four Thais got infected — a couple who visited Japan recently — while the other two were drivers who carried Chinese tourists in their vehicles.
Dr. Suwannachai mentioned that five of the six were in stable condition and recovering from the virus. They would be discharged from hospital when they were proven to be free of the virus.
The sixth patient, however, was in a serious condition.
The number of infections discovered in Thailand had now risen from 19 to 25. Eight had been cured and discharged and the other 17 were in hospitals.
