Thailand confirms 7 new cases of Covid-19, which includes a Thai actor
BANGKOK — Thailand’s Public Health Ministry confirmed 7 new cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus this morning, March 14, at a daily press conference, which brings the total cases in Thailand to 82.

The seven new cases according to the announcement are as follows:
—A 63-year-old Thai woman present at a party that infected thirteen other confirmed cases.
— A Thai mother who recently returned from Japan infected three others in her family upon her return (4 in total).
— A 20-year-old Thai student who came back from Japan.
— And Thai actor Matthew Deane, 41, who had contact with foreigners recently.
Matthew posted a video on Instagram yesterday where he admitted that he got infected with the virus. And although he has no history of recent travel, his work exposes him to different foreigners.
“This is NOT a joke, for those that have been in close contact with me the last few days please take precautions I have the Covid -19 virus,” captioned Matthew on his Instagram video.
The Thai actor has a boxing gym and runs a Muay Thai camp which has temporarily closed.
