Thai woman arrested at NAIA, millions worth of drugs seized
MANILA — Authorities at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) arrested a Thai woman for trying to smuggle more than 20 million worth of drugs.
According to reports, the woman hid the drug packages covered with carbon paper and packaging tape in her luggage.
When the X-ray machine at the airport detected the packages inside her luggage, officials conducted a physical examination.
A P28 million worth of drugs was then exposed.
The Thai woman is now in the custody Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) facing a corresponding complaint.
