Thai man arrested for carrying 18 pipe bombs, 3 guns in Bangkok
Pathumwan police apprehended a man carrying 18 pipe bombs this morning (March 5).
His bag was searched after he was seen acting suspiciously near Pathumwan intersection. The search revealed home-made explosives inside.
Upon the discovery, authorities called a bomb-disposal crew who confirmed that those were real explosives.
The man was also caught carrying three home-made guns and small bottles of a black substance suspected to be gunpowder, The Nation reported.
Police detained the suspect for interrogation and are investigating the origin of the bombs and their intended target, the report added.
