Ten areas of Bangkok and suburbs have excessive PM2.5 particulate
BANGKOK — The Pollution Control Department reported that air quality in Bangkok and two of its neighboring provinces have excessive PM2.5 dust particles exceeding 50 microns.
Provinces of Samut Prakan and Samut Sakhon, as well as the capital, have the amount of PM2.5 particulate between 29-63 microns, with ten areas in excess of 50 microns.
The ten areas are: Pathumwan, Bang Kor Laem, Khlong Sarn, Phasi Charoen, Bang Khen, Bangsue, Laksi, Tambon Mahachai of Samut Sakhon’s Muang district, Tambon Om Noi of Krathum Ban district of Samut Sakhon and Tambon Paknam of Samut Prakan’s Muang district.
Residents in these areas are advised to take precautions while performing outdoor activities.
