Tall Buddha statue in Bangkok to be completed in 2021, can be seen from miles away
BANGKOK — A 69-meter tall Buddha statue with a 40-meter lap located near the banks of the Chao Phraya River is expected to be finished by 2021.
When completed, the statue can be seen from miles away as it overlooks the surrounding district.
The construction of the Dhammakaya Thep Mongkol Buddha statue, which was originally scheduled to be completed in 2020, was temporarily stopped due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
