Sunday summer storms in the North
Summer storms in most northern provinces can be expected until Sunday, the Meteorological Department announced Saturday.
According to the department as reported by Bangkok Post, the provinces of Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Kamphaeng Phet, Lampang, Lamphun, Mae Hong Son, Phayao, Phichit, Sukhothai and Tak are likely to have summer storms.
Summer storms, however, have lost their steam in the central, eastern and northeastern regions.

With all the storms that caused extensive damage to the country apart from the South as reported by Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department from Wednesday through Friday, 4,819 houses were damaged with one casualty.
In Phrae which suffered the most, 1,232 houses were damaged or destroyed. Ang Thong came in second with 1,031 houses damaged, the report added.
