The event, dubbed as ‘The SNCFC Christmas Runway Gala 2017′ brought together at least 50 members of the community to celebrate Christmas the ‘Pinoy’ way.

In his Christmas message, Rev. Father Ronnie Torres, a Filipino Missionary Priest at Saint Nicholas Church – Phitsanulok, admonished the Filipino members of the community to live the true meaning of Christmas – to love and share as what the birth of Jesus is all about.

“I commend the officers of the organization for the efforts they put into uniting the members in the community and I congratulate all of you for a successful outreach program in Chiang Khan last week,” he said. “Your generosity surely left a mark in the lives of the kids you interacted with,” Father Torres added.

Last week, Saint Nicholas Church Foreign Community (SNCFC) kicked off its Christmas celebration with an outreach program at Chiang Khan province where they shared the genuine spirit of the season to the less fortunate children in the province through fun games and presents.

The runway themed Christmas gala boasted of various performances from the SNCFC members. Blesille Cainoy opened the joyous event with a hair-raising performance of “Silent Night” and “All I Want for Christmas”. She later rendered more upbeat songs to the delight of the guests and community members. Mrs. Nelia Como brought back everybody to the classical times of OPM with her rendition of “Sapagkat Kami’y Tao Lamang”. SNCFC’s little superstar Samantha Canete, who also delivered a heartfelt interpretation of “I See You Lord” during the doxology, set the stage on fire with her own version of the song “This Girl is on Fire”.

Meanwhile, the SNCFC officers opened the runway show with a powerful dance number. What came next brought the house down when everybody took turns in the ramp flaunting their best catwalk and poses.

At the event’s conclusion, Samantha Canete and Danilo Ocapan were proclaimed “Best Dressed”, Lorenzo Caballes, Jr. and Beverly- Tacay-Como were hailed “King and Queen of the Runway” while Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dalida took home “Couple of the Night” award.

Lucky attendees also brought home items from the SNCFC Christmas raffle draw. Abegail Batac, Karen Mae Mejos, Carlo Antonio, Nancy Catane and Unice Cubalit won the major prizes sponsored by Mrs. Victoria Caballes, Miss Leah Doysabas, April Joy Amparo, Benliro Family and The Pinoy Legacy.

The Saint Nicholas Church Foreign Community (SNCFC) Runway Christmas Gala 2017 was hosted by Mr. Cleavon Canete while Kenji Gunda and Maj Villaflor anchored the runway show. Miss Shareen Barlomento, SNCFC 2017 president, was the event coordinator.
