BANGKOK, Thailand – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has released the program for Special Professional Licensure Examinations (SPLE Program)  for Overseas Filipino Workers (Elementary & Secondary Levels) on September 24, 2017 at Ekamai International School.

The SPLE program of the Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT) are as follows:

COVERAGE OF EXAMINATION FOR GENERAL EDUCATION

The first part of the exam is General Education. It is comprised by 5 subject areas which are English, Filipino, Mathematics, Science, and Social Sciences. Topics in each subject area are listed below.

1. ENGLISH (Study and Thinking Skills, Writing in the Discipline, Speech and Oral Communication, Philippine Literature, Master Works of the World)

2. FILIPINO (Komunikasyon sa Akademikong Filipino, Pagbasa at Pagsulat tungo sa Pananaliksik, Masining na Pagpapahayag)

3. MATHEMATICS (Fundamentals of Math, Plane Geometry, Elementary Algebra, Statistics and Probability)

4. SCIENCE (Biological Science -General Biology; Physical Science- with Earth Science)

5. SOCIAL SCIENCES (Philippine Government New Constitution with Human Rights; Philippine History; Basic Economics, Taxation, Agrarian Reform; Society, Culture with Family Planning; Rizal and Other Heroes; Philosophy of Man; Arts; General Psychology; Information and Communication Technology)

The second part of the exam is Professional Education. It consists of the following 5 areas:

1. Teaching Profession, Social Dimensions of Education

2. Principles of Teaching, Educational Technology, Curriculum Development

3. Facilitating Learning, Child and Adolescent Development

4. Assessment of Student Learning, Developmental Reading

5. Field Study, Practice Teaching

THINGS TO REMEMBER

Please be at the venue before 6:30 am. Latecomers won’t be allowed to take the exam.

DRESS CODE

Examinees shall adhere to the attire set by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

Male:  Plain white polo shirt with collar free from any seal, logo or marks partnered with decent pants or slacks.

Female: Plain white blouse or shirt with collar without any seal, logo or marks partnered with skirt or slacks.

EXAMINATION REMINDERS

Examinees shall bring the following requirements on examination proper.

* Notice of Admission (NOA),
* Official Receipt of Payment, (Original/scanned)
* Pencils No. 1 or 2/ Black ink ballpen(pencils will be provided by PRC)
* Metered stamped mailing envelope,
* Long brown and plastic/transparent envelopes at any kind (Examinees must provide)
* Non-programmable calculator.

Examinees are advised to verify their application number from room watchers/proctors of the exam.

DONT’S 

Do not bring the following inside the examination rooms/premises:

* Books, notes, review materials, and other printed materials containing coded data/ information/formula;
* Programmable calculators;
* Cellphones/computers or similar devices
* Bags of any kind (ladies bag, shoulder bag, attache case, backpack, etc.)

Examinees are not allowed to leave the examination rooms, borrow anything or communicate with others taking the exam. Every examinee can bring their own food (placed inside transparent/plastic bags) inside during the examination.

LICENSED TEACHER

To be a licensed professional teacher, an average of at least seventy-five percent (75%) in all subjects, with no rating below fifty percent (50%) in any subject must be obtained.
