Spanish tourist fined for ‘sex on Samui beach’
KOH SAMUI, Thailand – A Spanish tourist was apprehended on Tuesday, May 9, after his sex clip on a beach in Koh Samui on Monday went viral and drew flak among locals.
The 28-year-old Spanish tourist (name withheld) was caught in a video while in an amorous act with a Russian woman on Nathon Beach in Koh Samui at around 8:30 a.m. in front of stray dogs.
The Spaniard was arrested at the hotel where he was staying near the beachside road and was charged for public obscenity. He was fined 500 baht for the offense.
The tourist told police authorities he had a heavy drinking session the night before the incident with the Russian woman he met at a nightspot on Koh Samui. They ended up having sex on the beach side after he found his friends sleeping in his hotel room.
According to Khaosod, the police has asked the tourist to apologize to reporters and the public on camera for his lewd behavior.
Reports revealed that the Spanish tourist entered Thailand on May 4 and was scheduled to return to his country on May 18.
The Russian woman in the video is still at large as of posting time.
