Siam Commercial Bank shuts down all foreign currencies in Thailand
BANGKOK — Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) became the third bank in Thailand to stop temporarily its foreign exchange services in the country due to the threat of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19).
According to the announcement, the bank’s move is for the protection and well-being of its customers against the spread of the disease.
The first bank to do was Kasikorn Bank on March 9, followed by Krungthai Bank yesterday afternoon, March 11.
