Sharp Covid spike forces Bangkok school to return to online learning
A school in Bangkok decided to go back to online learning after more than 700 students and school staff got infected with Covid-19.
Waraporn Subsomboon, principal and deputy director of academic affairs of Bangkok Christian College, issued a statement on Wednesday.
According to the statement, students will return to online learning due to a sharp increase in Covid-19 infections. The five-day closure of classes, she said, is a move to contain new infections.
Students will study online on July 11-12 as well as on July 18-19, with public holidays from July 13 to 17, the statement said.
Online learning resumes on July 20.
