The Search Is On For The “Most Outstanding Filipino Community Leader”
The Filipino Community Leaders’ Congress (FCLC) secretariat formally opened the nomination for the “Most Outstanding Filipino Community Leader” on August 1. In its letter sent to different organizations in Thailand, the FCLC body encouraged Filipinos in the kingdom to submit their written nomination to fclcsecretariat@gmail.com on or before September 30, 2017.

The giving of the award aims to recognize a fellow Filipino’s: exemplary contribution to the Filipino communities and/or other communities in Thailand, “Bayanihan spirit”, and qualities that mirror responsible citizenship, outstanding character, and leadership. The Honors and Awards body, as appointed by the Executive Committee of the FCLC Secretariat, will screen the written endorsement /recommendation for the award.
This body will be composed of representatives from: the embassy, FCLC Consultants, FCLC Executive Committee, host organization, secretariat representatives to the different provinces/organizations, and from the academe.
The nomination is open to everyone – either members or officers of any Filipino community in Thailand. The nominee may be engaged in the following areas but not limited to: language teaching, science and industry, community development, business and entrepreneurship, missionary work, among other fields of work.
The award will be given during the gala dinner of the big event on October 27, 2017.
