Royal Thai Consulate in Penang requires medical certificate when applying for visa
PENANG — The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Penang made an announcement requiring citizens from various countries in Asia and Europe to present a medical certificate when applying for a visa due to the novel coronavirus.
“Starting from 9 March 2020, passport holders from the following countries need to provide a medical certificate together with a visa application form,” the announcement reads.
Nationals of countries that need to present medical certificate are:
French Republic
Federal Republic of Germany
Italian Republic
Kingdom of Spain
Islamic Republic of Iran
People’s Republic of China
Hongkong
Taiwan
Japan
Republic of Korea
Republic of Singapore
Citizens from these countries, said Samui Visa Run on Facebook, need to provide medical declaration form from “government or private hospitals only”.
