SUKHOTHAI — A Pinoy teacher at Tessaban 2 School in Sukhothai province died from head injuries sustained in a motorbike accident last night, 5 October.

Jail Mariano Daniel or Jill to his friend, 35, was rushed to Sukhothai Hospital after rescuers tried giving him a CPR. The doctor, however, confirmed that he died on the spot.

In an interview with Pinoy Legacy, Jill’s friend James Manzano, said Jill went out last night. But on his way back, he made a mistake of driving on the opposite lane just after he made a U-turn.

“Jill was on his way home. Sadly, after making a u-turn, he drove on the opposite lane and hit the wall head-on,” Manzano said.

Manzano also added that Jill’s body lies in the hospital’s mortuary.

Another friend, Elmer Lonogan, is asking Filipinos in Thailand for any donation that can help in repatriating Jill’s remains back to his family in the Philippines.

“We are asking Filipinos in Thailand for any amount to help us in these trying times. We want to send Jill’s remains to his family in Ilocos,” Lonogan told Pinoy Legacy.
