Although the shot to advance to the finals is no longer a possibility, the Filipinas are not bowing out entirely at the 2019 AFF Women’s Championship. They are scheduled to face Myanmar in the battle for third place on Tuesday.
“The @PilipinasWNFT put up a great fight, but Vietnam proved to be tough to crack. Still – it was a historic campaign, and it’s not over yet as the ladies still have a battle for bronze on Tuesday!,” tweeted Vice-Captain Inna Palacios
Whatever the result of the match against Myanmar may be, this is the Philippines best finish in the tournament.
The match of the Philippine Women’s National Football Team against Myanmar will kick off on August 27 (Tuesday) at 3 pm local time.
