Philippine Embassy in Bangkok gears up for President Duterte’s visit next month

The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok is now gearing up for President Rodrigo Duterte’s official visit in Thailand by coordinating with the Filipino community leaders all around the country.

According to a report from The Nation, President  Duterte is expected to arrive in Thailand on March 20. However, the Embassy in Bangkok has not yet confirmed the date of the president’s arrival.

President Duterte’s scheduled visit will not be his first in the kingdom. In November, he made a short stop-over in Bangkok on his way to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to condole with the Thai Royal family for the passing of King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Part of the president’s itinerary during his trip is to meet the members of the Filipino community in Thailand, the e-mail further stated.
