Philippine senator and boxing champ Manny Pacquiao will give a sizeable portion of his earning to victims of Covid-19 from his match against Conor McGregor.
“Malaking portion ng kikitain ni Sen MP sa kanyang susunod na laban eh e donate nya sa mga victim ng COVID,” Jake Joson, Pacquiao special assistant said in a message to reporters on Saturday.
In an email on Friday, Sean Gibbons, president of Manny Pacquiao Promotions, told AFP of a fight between the eight-division world champion and Irish mixed martial arts star McGregor would be a “tremendous global event.”
The last fight of the Filipino boxing champ was in 2019 against Keith Thurman, earning him the WBA welterweight crown.
