One Awesome Weekend In Nakhon Nayok

Are you looking for an awesome adventure over the weekend with friends? If you’re in Bangkok, you don’t have to go very far!

Nakhon Nayok is about 100 kilometers (2-hour drive) from Bangkok, offering beautiful scenery and fun activities that make your adrenaline rush!

My friends and I spontaneously traveled to Nakhon Nayok for two days. Our morning trip started at 6, leaving Bangkok caffeine-free, so we decided to swing by Montreux Cafe and Farm on our way. Well, as they say, “Life begins after coffee.”

The place has a cozy feeling, is very welcoming, and has affordable prices — so you can enjoy the beautiful scenery while taking a sip of your favorite cup of coffee.

Next was a quick stop for lunch at the Aden Farms, along the National Highway, having decent drool-worthy Thai food choices. The place was full of colorful umbrellas, a good cover for a very sunny afternoon. Finally, we got our tummies filled up, and now everyone’s ready to start the adventure.

It was about one hour and thirty minutes of white water rafting along the stream released from the famous Khlong Tha Dan Dam. This activity is more of a fun ride for someone who has tried rafting to some challenging rapids as the water is very calm and clear. Make sure to bring some extra clothes; you’ll definitely get wet; as some visitors would splash water onto your raft, you have to be ready for it.

After the rafting activity was the real deal of a 30 minutes ATV Ride. So either you’re the driver or the backseat rider, get ready for this monster vehicle, as you’ll be going around hoops and loops passing through deep mud, a stream, and a very dusty road. I guess this was the highlight of the trip!

The next day we visited Chulapornwanaram temple, boasting its amazing arched Bamboo trees over the Walkway to the temple’s entrance, giving you Kyoto, Japan-like wishful thinking. One photo is never enough in this place, so take dozens. It’s free!

Oh well, two days aren’t enough to experience all the activities Nakhon Nayok offers. So we will surely come back for some rock climbing activities & air-soft games next time!

Why not visit Nakhon Nayok this weekend?
