No new fatality case due to Covid 19 among Filipinos abroad – DFA
The Philippines on Saturday, September 12 reported no new fatality case among Filipinos abroad.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), reported that while the cases increased to 10,181, the recoveries have rose to 6,431 —including thirteen new confirmed cases . Meanwhile, 10 new patients were reported to have recovered.
The death toll remained at 768 with no new reported fatality. Active cases are now at 2,982.
So far, the department has said the new confirmed cases and recoveries were reported from the Americas, Asia and the Pacific, and Europe.
According to the latest data, most of the confirmed cases are from the Middle East and Africa with 7,002 total cases. More than half of them have already recovered with the region tallying 4,205 recoveries. The region has 487 deaths.
On the other hand, the remaining cases among OFWs are scattered in the Asia Pacific Region, countries in Europe, and the Americas.
A total of 1,205 cases of COVID-19 among migrant Filipinos in the Asia Pacific Region, with 888 recoveries, and eight deaths.
DFA further said, Europe has 1,169 confirmed cases with 879 recoveries, and 95 deaths.
Meanwhile, 805 cases of Covid 19 is recorded in the Americas, with 459 recoveries, and 178 deaths.
