New coronavirus case recorded in Thailand, brings the total to 35
BANGKOK — A senior health official said on Monday (Feb 17) that Thailand recorded one new coronavirus case, which brings the total in the Kingdom to 35 since January.
Sukhum Kanchanapimai, permanent secretary of the Ministry of Public Health, said in a news conference that a 60-year-old Chinese woman contracted the virus. The Chinese woman’s family members earlier contracted the virus too.
Fifteen of those infected have recovered and sent home.
Latest report revealed that over 1,700 people in China have died from COVID-19. Thailand, on the other hand, has no record of fatality so far.
