NATIONAL GAWAD DYORNALISMO, Rare opportunity for a Reverend!


Rev. Rudyl Rosales Lumaad has received the NATIONAL GAWAD DYORNALISMO 2020 “Outstanding English as a Foreign Language Teacher” from the ASIA-PACIFIC AWARDS COUNCIL, INC. & Center for the Promotion of Campus Journalism, Inc.

He is recognized for showing a remarkable brand of leadership and for championing the cause of teaching English as a Foreign Language to the learners around the world by nurturing their skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking with a healthy mindset for global competitiveness. National Gawad Dyornalismo is gratified that there are educators like him who have a strong dedication to teaching the language. Hence, his fervent effort to globalize English is sincerely acknowledged.

Originally scheduled to take place on 18 April 2020 at De La Salle University in Dasmarinas, Cavite — the awarding ceremony was moved due to the Community Quarantine (COVID-19 Pandemic Lockdown) on 25 July 2020 during the Virtual Awards Night of Gawad Dyornalismo 2020.

As a certified international TESOL trainer, mentor, and convener, he has been accorded the Research Advocacy Award 2019 in recognition of his commendable contribution of new knowledge in his discipline. He is also one of the key players in organizing international TESOL training seminar and webinar events.

Pastor Rudyl is a licensed teacher and a former instructor of English for Careers and textbook contributors at Phranakhon Rajabhat University.

Currently, he is an EFL/ESL Teacher at Wat Phra Srimahadhat Secondary Demonstration School Phranakhon Rajabhat University and has been connected to the same institution for 14 years. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Technology “Cum Laude,” at Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT); completed the Academic Requirements leading to Master of Science in Agriculture major in Soil Science at the University of Southeastern Philippines, Apokon, Tagum Campus; and earned a Diploma of Christian Studies at Baptist Bible Seminary and Institute, leading to AB Christian Education.

Furthermore, he finished Bachelor of Elementary Education at Bohol Northern Star Colleges and Bachelor in Pastoral Ministry at CBCBC of Central Baptist Independent Mission International; and was ordained as Reverend. He was a former Agronomist, Clerk, Stat staff in the Municipal Department of Agrarian Reform; Research Staff of the Department of Agriculture Region 13; and a pastor, a preacher, and one of the Sunday school teachers of Romphrakun Baptist Church, Thailand.
