MANILA – Social media vlogger Nuseir Yassin, popularly know as Nas Daily, has been tapped by the Philippines to show the country’s beach-rehabilitation efforts as well as other natural attractions.

Nuseir is back in Manila to answer the Department of Tourism’s invitation. On Friday, he had a scheduled meet and greet with his Filipino supporters from 6PM to 8PM at the Samsung Hall in SM Aura Premier, Taguig City.

“The Israeli vlogger said that he has always wanted to report about the topic after learning of the news of Boracay being closed to the public last year to give the island “time to heal,” ABS CBN reported.

“This is something I’ve wanted to do for a while. I’ve always wanted to showcase the rehabilitation efforts that you guys are doing. I heard a lot about the closing down of Boracay, tearing down walls and all those things. I wanted to see it for myself and report on it,” he said.

When asked if the DOT has made him a tourism ambassador like young celebrity Scarlet Snow Belo and Canadian vlogger Kyle “Kulas” Jennermann, Yassin replied: “No, I’m just here for one project for them.”

Nas Daily and his team revealed that they had visited different beaches in the country for their video, which will be released on Facebook next week.

“We went to El Nido, we went to Boracay, we went to Puerto Galera, we went to Manila Bay. We went to most of the rehabilitation places as well,” Yassin said, adding that he is excited for the final output of their project.
