Nakhon Phanom village hit by biggest hailstorm in 10 years
Nakhon Phanom — Sampong Village in the northeastern province of Nakhon Phanom was hit by the biggest hailstorm in 10 years.
According to a report from Thai-language news Thai Raith dated January 25, the hailstorm wreaked havoc in the village. More than 60 houses were severely damaged and roofs were blown off by strong winds.
Carpenters were called to build new roofs for the damaged houses, said Sombat Nakajad, Sampong sub-district chief
“It is the biggest storm I have seen. Fruit trees were uprooted, not to mention crops that were destroyed,” he said.
