Minor earthquake strikes Kanchanaburi
KANCHANABURI — A minor earthquake of 2.6 magnitude hit Sri Sawat district of Kanchanaburi province on Thursday night.
No damage was reported when the minor quake struck the district of Sri Sawat at 8:41 pm. According to Wallop Mekprueksawong, director of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand’s maintenance section, the quake was about 55.58km north of Srinagarind Dam and 62.88km east of Vajiralongkorn Dam.
The tremor had not affected any of the dams operated by Egat, his announcement said.
