Mild quake reported in Loei province
A mild quake of 3.8 magnitude was reported at a depth of five kilometres on Thursday (June 25) night in the Muang district of Loei province in Northeast Thailand.
The Earthquake Observation Division of the Thai Meteorological Department said the quake happened at 9.37pm. The division reported that the quake could be felt by locals for a short time, including those residing in Kudpong, Chaiyaphreug and Nakhaem subdistricts. People in adjacent Chiang Khan and Tha Li districts also reported that they felt the tremor.
There have been no reports of damage to buildings or casualties so far, while local officials are investigating affected areas to provide emergency assistance.
