Metropolitan Electricity Authority warns residents as storm approaches
BANGKOK — People should check power poles and cables near their residences before the expected arrival of a storm tomorrow (March 5), said the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA).
According to the Thai Meteorological Department, a summer storm might pass through Thailand, bringing heavy rain, strong wind and hails to Bangkok tomorrow.
MEA staff are checking electrical devices on the power poles to lower the risks of accidents which might occur as the storm hits.
People are told to report broken electrical devices to the MEA via phone number 1130 or its social media channels.
