Mass shooting at day care center leaves 32 dead including children
Thirty two people including many children at a child care center in Nong Bua Lamphu province were shot to death on Thursday.
The shooting occurred at a child care center in Na Klang District at a time when many children were sleeping. The suspect was last seen driving a white Toyota pick-up truck with Bangkok license plate 6 กธ [Kor Tor] 6499.
However, local media reports suggested the gunman had killed himself, as well as his wife and child, shortly after fleeing the scene.
The perpetrator was identified as a former police officer who was released from government service for failing a drugs test and was due to go on trial in court tomorrow.
UPDATE: Thai local media reported that 4 more people died, bringing the number of total casualties to 36.
