“The Marvel Experience Thailand: Theme Entertainment Attraction” is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2018 on a 10,000 sqm. plot in Bangkok’s Ikea Bang Na.
The digital adventure dome project worth more than 1 billion baht is a joint venture between Hero Ventures, a Los Angeles-based entertainment company, and Thai firm Hero Experience Co.
According to Mr. Rick Licht, chief executive of the US’s Hero Ventures, The Marvel Experience is the first such entertainment in ASEAN.
“Bangkok is a perfect location for our expansion in Southeast Asia,” said Licht.
Famous Marvel superheroes will be featured digitally such as Spider Man, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Wolverine, Captain America, and a lot more.
“The Marvel hyper-reality experience will allow you to become an official S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. In the augmented reality part of the park, you can experience climbing like Spider-Man, avoiding lasers like Black Widow, and smashing like the Hulk,” Coconuts Bangkok reported.
