SURIN — A man who went to the bathroom got a shock of a lifetime after he saw a huge crocodile at around 3 in the morning.
According to local newspaper Sanook, the 52-year-old man woke up in the middle of the night on November 20 to use the bathroom which is located separately from the main home. On the way back to his house, he heard a sound and thought it was water left running. But the sound was getting louder as he walked closer.
After realizing it was not water sounds, the man started searching as to where the sound was coming from. He was shocked to see a huge crocodile with its mouth open and making threatening sounds. He hurriedly told his relatives who live nearby.
Rescuers arrived after being informed of the situation and inspect the area immediately. The team found an almost 2-meter long crocodile weighing about 80 kilos hiding under the bed.
The man later discovered that the crocodile escaped 300 meters from where he lived. It has now been returned to the original owner.
