Licensure exams for OFWs in Bangkok set on September 29
BANGKOK, Thailand – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) will once again hold the Special Professional Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers in Bangkok, Thailand on September 29, 2019.

The official announcement posted in the Philippine Consulate in Bangkok stated that the interested applicants may apply until 31 July 2019 through the Online Application System at https://online.prc.gov.ph.
“The payments will be made at the following authorized outlets: Landbank of the Philippines (LBP), United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB), and PRC Cashiers of Central and Regional Offices and Offsites,” the announcement further said.
Once completed with the online application and payments, applicants should submit the documents to the Licensure Office- PRC Central Office, Licensure and Registration Division – PRC-NCR, PRC Philippine International Convention Center, PRC Service Centers or any PRC Regional Office.
The required documents include; a photocopy of Transcript of Record (with or without scanned picture and remarks “For Board Examination Purpose Only”), a photocopy of a valid passport, and four (4) passport-size pictures with a complete nametag in white background.
Furthermore, the list of conditionally-approved applicants will be posted at the PRC Website and will be sent to the testing center which venue will be announced later.
This is the third year that the PRC holds the special licensure exams in Bangkok to provide unlicensed Filipino teachers in Thailand the opportunity to get certified without taking a leave of absence from their jobs.
The outreach exams began in 2017 on orders of President Rodrigo Duterte through the initiative of a group Partners for Change spearheaded by Dr. Edgar Eleguen.
Last year, at least 300 examinees took the licensure exams at Ekamai International School.
