Phitsanulok Deputy Governor Thatchai Sisuwan and Third Army Region commander Lt-Gen Vichak Siribansop sang Thailand’s national anthem at 8 am together with state officials and local people to celebrate the historic anniversary.

Weighing 600 kilograms, the flag requires 300 people to completely unfold it.

The largest Thai flag ever will soon be a landmark signifying national unity in Chiang Rai’s Chiang Saen district, flying from a 189-metre tall pole.
