Kapuso actor Alden Richards meets his lookalike, a priest from Pangasinan
Kapuso actor Alden Richards has finally met face to face the priest from Pangasinan who looks so much like him!
Last January 2018, a photo of Fr. Joseph Panaligan baptizing a baby went viral on social media. Netizens started commenting on the photo saying that the priest resembles the actor.
In a report from Luane Dy of Unang Hirit on Friday, there is a deeper connection between the two than their resemblance.
The phenomenal tandem of Alden and Yaya Dub (Maine Mendoza) from Eat Bulaga’s Kalyeserye, donated a library to the community of Urbiztondo, Pangasinan, which was built in Fr. Joseph’s parish.
According to the report, Fr. Joseph really wanted to meet Alden to say his thanks in person.
Fr. Joseph’s opportunity to meet the actor came when he visited Alden during a taping. He gave Alden a Sto. Niño image that is a hundred-year-old, as well as a history book of Nuestra Señora Dela Salud.
“Nakakatuwa kasi yung value niya is more than anything else, it’s priceless and binigay nila Father sakin to as a gift. Mas nakaka-motivate gumawa ng mabuti sa buhay,” Kapuso actor Alden Richards said.
The priest, meanwhile couldn’t help but be overwhelmed.
“Overwhelming, masaya syempre sa pagkakataon na makaharap, at maibigay ang regalo kay Alden,” Fr. Joseph said. “Sana maranasan niya ‘yung tunay na kaligayahan na nagmumula sa tunay na regalo sa buong mundo, ang ating Panginoong Hesus.”
