THAILAND. After a delay of around two months, the new term in Thailand officially starts today, July 1.

In April, the Thai government approved the proposal of the Education Ministry to move the opening of all classes for the new semester from May 16 to July 1, as a measure to control the spread of Covid 19.

In compliance with the Office of the Basic Curriculum (Obec) mandate, schools are limiting the number of students in each class  to no more than 20 for primary levels and no more than 25 students for high school levels.

Meanwhile, schools with English Program are permitted to hold classes as usual provided that they practice social distancing and implement hygiene and cleanliness protocols.

Below are some scenes from some schools in Thailand on Wednesday.
