Reporting foreigners staying in your property is now easy, say immigration
Home and property owners should be happy about a mobile app which support both Android and OIS in reporting foreigners staying at their place within 24 hours.
The immigration in Ubon Ratchathani province posted on their Facebook page a convenient way of reporting foreigners or foreign guests. They advised people to look up “Section 38”, which mentions the Immigration Act of 1979 that relates to this issue.
“Application provider of Immigration Bureau – According to section 38 of the 1979 immigration act, “House owners, heads of household, landlords or managers of hotels who accommodate foreign nationals on a temporary basis who stay in the kingdom legally, must notify the local immigration authorities within 24 hours from the time of arrival of the foreign national via Mobile Application,” says the description of the app found on the Google Play Store.
