Bangkok was pounded by a heavy downpour on Friday which resulted in heavily congested and flooded roads to the dismay of commuters.
The strong winds, according to reports, uprooted trees and knocked over power in some parts of Bangkok.
Areas that were heavily hit were Phaholyothin, Charansanitwong, Ratchadapisek and Vibhavadi-Rangsit but Huai Kwang district in Bangkok had the most rain at 96 millimeters, said Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.
