Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone Ensemble Live in Bangkok

Eighteen years after the first Harry Potter debuted on the big screen, muggles in Thailand will have a chance to relive their memories of the “boy who lived.” For the first time ever, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone In Concert will come to Bangkok later this year.

Local artist promoter Alcopop Group, the same group that hosted in February this year Academy-award winner Amadeus’ live philharmonic orchestra performance, announced the “wizarding” concert.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone In Concert will be projected in high defintion on the big screen while skillful musicians of the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra performs the unforgettable scores live — giving the audience an experience of a full film with live music of the most beloved series in history and tugging at heartstrings in more ways than one. Los Angeles-based composer and conductor John Jesensky will direct the concert. 

The two-day concert will run from November 23 to November 24 at Mahidol University’s Prince Mahidol Hall in Nakhon Pathom province. Ticket details will be announced soon.

The Harry Potter Films in Concert series, a collaboration of CineConcerts and Warner Bro., has been performed more than 1,000 times in over 40 countries around the world.

Next month, the team will perform in Manila on September 14 and 15 at The Theatre at Solaire.
