Group of students in Phichit told to self-quarantine after South Korea trip
PHICHIT — A group of high school students in Phichit province was told to stay home for 14 days after the school found out they just have returned from an overseas trip to South Korea.
Although none of the students have yet shown any flu-like symptoms, Director of Phichit Pittayyakhom School, Mr. Boontham Onchan, immediately ordered all students who returned from South Korea to be self-quarantined for two weeks
The management discovered the students’ February 15th to 19th trip abroad, three days after they resumed classes at the school.
According to Dr. Pensri Manovachirasan, deputy director of Phichit Provincial Hospital, there has not been a COVID-19 case in the province so far. She appealed to the public not to panic, but to keep themselves in good shape and to avoid crowded places.
