In a report from Mariz Umali on “24 Oras,” Kervy James Villarejo, the eldest among 4 siblings and grade 5 student at Jose Catolico Sr. Elementary School, applied for work as a cleaner in an office in the city so he could pay his school’s homeroom contribution.
The video which was upoloaded by Chriszel Singco Vicente, shows Villarejo filling out an application form.
Although office employees didn’t let Villarejo clean and mop the office floors, they gave the student P200, more than enough for his school contribution on Monday. He also bought rice for the family with the excess funds.
“Mag aaral ako ng mabuti para matupad ang mga pangarap ko pag laki,” said Villarejo who wish to be a pilot in the future.
