Government thinks imposing lockdown in high-risk provinces
Thailand’s Public Health Ministry and the National Security Council (NSC) are thinking over imposing new measures to address the growing number of infections.
NSC secretary-general Nattapol Nakpanit on Wednesday said they are discussing the possibility of imposing lockdown on provinces that are considered high-risk in a bid to curb infections. The provinces considered high-risk are: Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Prachuap Khiri Khan.
Nattapol also said the premier has told NSC to be ready for intensive measures.
