GMA reporter Mav Gonzales admires New Clark City Athletics Stadium
CAPAS, Tarlac — GMA reporter Mav Gonzales shared her thoughts on Facebook about the Athletics Stadium in New Clark City saying: “Been traveling 6 hours daily to deliver the news from New Clark City. Hopefully we can replicate this sports facility in other parts of the country because WOW. ANG GANDA MGA BES.”
The Athletics Stadium in New Clark City is the first sports facility in the Philippines to receive a Class 1 certification from World Athletics, an international athletics governing body.
In her report on 24 Oras Wednesday, a Class 1 certification means a venue that is capable of hosting big events such as the Olympics and other world championships.
Track and field events of the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games such as dash, pole vault, and discus throw will be played in the open-air stadium.
The stadium houses an Olympic-quality track oval, fields, and nets.
