Forbes 2017 Billionaire’s List: Meet the richest people of ASEAN region
BANGKOK, Thailand – On March 20, 2017, Forbes has released its list of this year’s world billionaires and among them are 89 individuals coming from ASEAN.
Out of the ten ASEAN states, Singapore tops the list with 21 billionaires followed by Indonesia and Thailand with 20 individuals each.
The Philippines comes next with 14 on the prestigious list while Malaysia follows with 12.
Vietnam, on the other hand, has 2 individuals who made it to the world’s billionaire circle.

To be part of the list, an individual must have an estimated worth of at least US$1 billion. If combined, these billionaires are worth $270.8 billion.
